Well, perhaps I may have found the ultimate recipe for mint juleps. This recipe was formulated by General Simon Bolivar Buckner Jr, who, at the time, was the commandant at West Point. He was requested by the Superintendant, his superior, to provide the recipe. This son of a Confederate general, graduate of West Point, and Governor of Kentucky wrote down perhaps the penultimate recipe for juleps. I offer this recipe as a grand example of my birthplace.
